Welcome to Frikilandia

Cyprus, this lovely country where tourists are welcomed with the red carpet treatment and emigrants are reduced to nothing. Who can tell me where is the difference between them? In which group can i join in? There is no point in making classifications about people. But, i cant avoid to feel like a real emigrant when im in the bus, just in that moment.
In general, when im walking along the streets and someone asks me something and notices that im from Spain, they grin from ear to ear, so pleased to meet me. But, when you are from Pakistan or China, they dont stop their life and smile to you.
I dont like to feel isolated, as i do when im in the bus. i cant describe but you are surronded of people from several nationalities (most of them from Pakistan) sweating, talking happily knowing that they are with "their family, their friends" in that vehicle, but when they take off, they have to deal with the reality: the rest of people dont like them because they dont have money.
I dont have money either, but they are nice with me. i was wondering all the time which is the difference between them and me? and which is the difference between them and tourists? can money mark the difference? Dunno.
Period mood activated.
